TASTE, HIGH STREET
Taste is a well run cafe and deli which is overflowing with edible goodies. They
have one soup each day, like 'Carrot and Coriander', and offer you the
opportunity to munch such delights as, 'John Hill's Silver Award-Winning
Steak Pies.' A great place.
SO STRAWBERRY CAFFÈ, THE CROSS
The So Strawberry Caffè is a strangely-titled place with an even
stranger accent on the 'E'. The interior is kinda plainish and
cafeish with the exception of one whole arty wall covered in a
cheerful wallpaper of big red flowers. Usually one soup each
day, like 'Spicy Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato'.
THE COFFEE NEUK, THE CROSS
Located just off Linlithgow High Street, not far from the palace, The
Coffee Neuk is a
conventional and quite attractive coffee-house which has one soup per day, like 'Lentil'.
CAMERON'S CAFE BISTRO, 276a HIGH STREET
At some time in Linlithgow's fairly recent past, some idiot
thought it might be nice to build concrete boxes and plonk them
on the High Street amidst all the wonderful old buildings.
Whoever that was, I hope he met a terrible end at the hands of
bears. Cameron's Cafe Bistro sits in one of these modern
monstrosities, but do not despair, for inside it is okay.
Usually just one soup on each day, like 'Broccoli and Stilton'.
