WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

■ The Hill House - a Charles Rennie Mackintosh effort.
■ Haggis Broth in Craigard's in Sinclair Street.
■ The Rhu Inn - just outside Helensburgh.
The map above is an interactive map provided by Ordnance Survey. The map, as it is shown when you first open this web page, is exactly as you will see it on the Ordnance Survey 'Landranger 56, Loch Lomond & Inveraray' map, which has a scale of 1:50000 or one-and-a-quarter inches to a mile. Although the John Muir Way is well signposted, you are advised to have a paper copy of this map, and others for the sections of the John Muir Way that you intend to walk. As you can see, the John Muir Way is clearly marked on the map as a line of small red diamonds. Try not to zoom out on the above map, as you will lose the route of the path. You can use the directional arrows to look at areas of the path to either side of that shown.
